Embed a countdown timer on your website

Add a live countdown to any site with a single line of HTML. It’s responsive, it works in every website builder that accepts embed code, and it never shows ads or sets cookies.

Get the embed code

  1. Create your countdown and style it to match your site.
  2. Click Embed on website in the Share panel, set the width and height, and copy the code.
  3. Paste the code into your page’s HTML.

The code is a standard iframe:

Make it responsive

To let the countdown fill the width of its container and keep its shape on phones, set the width to 100% and use an aspect ratio instead of a fixed height:

The countdown scales its numbers to whatever space it gets.

Website builders

  • WordPress: add a Custom HTML block and paste the code.
  • Squarespace: add a Code block and paste the code.
  • Wix: add Embed Code → Embed HTML and paste the code.
  • Webflow: add an Embed element and paste the code.
  • Plain HTML: paste it wherever the countdown should appear.

Options

  • embed=1 hides the full page’s buttons. The embed code from the builder already includes it.
  • attribution=0 hides the small “Made with count.live” link (also a checkbox in the builder).
  • Colors, fonts, background images, units, end messages, celebrations and repeating countdowns all work in embeds. Set them in the builder and the code updates.

Privacy-friendly by design

Embedded countdowns load no ads, no trackers and no cookies, and the whole countdown is described by its link: nothing about your visitors is stored on our servers. That keeps your cookie banner simple. Details are in the privacy policy.

Frequently asked questions

Is the countdown embed free?

Yes. Embedding is free, needs no account, and the embedded countdown never shows ads.

Does the embedded countdown use my visitors' time zones?

By default it counts down to the moment you chose, shown correctly in each visitor’s local time. If you pick a time zone in the builder, it counts down to that time in that zone for everyone.

Can I remove the “Made with count.live” link?

Yes. Untick the attribution option in the builder, or add attribution=0 to the countdown link.
